These are held on a regular basis in the evening and provide you with the chance for further English practice in a friendly, relaxed environment. Workshops will change from month to month, and will include activities such as discussions, debates, quiz nights, board games, films, language lab practice, free talk, karaoke, and more! Business Courses

Our Business English courses are designed for business people, office personnel and professionals who want to improve their English for use in business and workplace contexts.

The courses provide a thorough presentation of the essential language skills needed to conduct business and handle a wide variety of tasks in the workplace.

The courses are run in line with the Council of Europe’s Common European Framework of Reference for Modern Languages (CEF) and the Hong Kong Government Workplace English benchmarks, allowing you to chart your progress and work towards internationally recognised examinations and benchmark tests.

Each course follows a dynamic, up-to-date Business course book and incorporates supplementary materials to make your learning more varied and interesting. In class, there are plenty of opportunities to practise your language skills through role-plays and simulations.

English for the Workplace - Level 1
Level : Exam Options:
About 1 year of English  

For front office, clerical and administrative personnel who need to use English for their job. Emphasis is on acquiring functional English language skills required to handle everyday tasks in the workplace.

Topics include:

  • Welcoming visitors
  • Arranging appointments
  • Handling enquiries and providing information
  • Taking telephone messages 
  • Emails, memos and everyday business correspondence
  • Report writing
  • Meetings

By the end of the courses, you will have extended your vocabulary to fit your work requirements, developed your self- confidence and fluency, and will be able to handle a wide variety of tasks in your workplace in English.
